Mark the moment from chat, a hotkey or a cheer, without touching OBS.
The StreamUP Chapter Marker Manager plugin puts chapter markers in your recording. This puts that button on anything Streamer.Bot can trigger, so a moderator, a cheer, a redeem or your Stream Deck can mark the clip while your hands are busy.
It also does the thing the plugin cannot do on its own: every marker you set goes to your Twitch VOD as well, so the moment is findable in the VOD and on the editing timeline.
Key features
- Set a chapter marker from any Streamer.Bot trigger, not just a hotkey in OBS
- Markers go to your Twitch VOD at the same time, so viewers can jump straight to them
- Add annotations, the longer notes, from a trigger too
- Read the current chapter name back into Streamer.Bot as %currentChapter%
- Name the marker with any Streamer.Bot variable, so it can carry who set it and why
- Tells chat what it did, with the wording and the bot account up to you
- Ready-made examples for a moderator chat command and a Twitch cheer
- A settings panel, so none of this needs editing C#
Anything can mark a moment
The plugin gives you a hotkey. That works right up until the moment worth marking happens while you are mid sentence, mid fight, or holding a controller.
This gives the job to Streamer.Bot instead. A moderator types a command, someone cheers, you press a Stream Deck key, a redeem fires. Any of them can drop a marker, and each one can name it, so the export tells you what happened rather than Chapter 7.
Three actions, and the rest is yours
| CMMC • Set Chapter Marker | Adds a marker in OBS and sends it to your Twitch VOD. Takes chapterName and chapterSource |
| CMMC • Set Chapter Annotation | Adds a timestamped note to the current chapter. Takes annotationText and annotationSource |
| CMMC • Get Current Chapter Marker | Hands the current chapter name back as %currentChapter% for the rest of your action to use |
Set the arguments, run the action, done. Both name fields take Streamer.Bot variables, so a marker can carry the user who triggered it, the game you are on, or anything else you can reach.
Examples you can steal
Three come built in, switched off until you want them:
- !marker for moderators, so anyone on your mod team can mark a moment
- !annotation for moderators, for the longer note
- A Twitch cheer over an amount you choose, so a cheer marks its own moment
They are ordinary Streamer.Bot actions. Open one, see how it is wired, and copy the shape for your own trigger.
Settings
The CMMC • Settings action opens a panel rather than making you edit code.
Pick your OBS connection number, decide whether markers go to your Twitch VOD, and set the default chapter name and source. Chat messages are optional, can come from your bot account, and the wording is yours: the templates take %chapterName% , %chapterSource% and %annotationSource% .
